2018: A Year of Great Accomplishments!

2018 has been an amazing year. Thanks, once again, to the community, to you, our shoppers, donors, volunteers, staff, and everyone who made 2018 a year to remember. We would like to share some of our program impacts from 2018! In our most recent fiscal year, WIN supported over 1200 women through our five empowerment programs, including:

  • Supporting 453 women through our Crisis and Referral Program which can include referrals to other organizations, food certificates, WIN gift certificates and emergency funding

  • Providing 532 Gift Certificates valued at $39,538 through 16 partner organizations

  • Providing 70 New Starts so that women leaving transition houses could set up their new homes for themselves and their families

  • Providing 32 Self Sufficiency Bursaries totaling $27,805 supporting women to pursue further education, to develop a small business or to embark upon another practical solution that had a significant step along their journey to financial self sufficiency

  • 16 women joining the Transformations Program this year
