We are grateful for your donations and to make donating easier, you can now donate furniture in 2 ways:

Thank you for considering donating your gently used apartment-sized furniture to WIN. Furniture Donations are an essential part of our New Start Program, as well as the other programs that we run in the community. This is a list of the items we often need for our New Start Program deliveries:

  • Loveseats

  • Living room chairs

  • Small kitchen tables and chairs

  • small Coffee tables

  • Small dressers (without a mirror)

  • Table lamps

  • End tables

  • Mattress and boxspring sets (single, twin. and queen size)
    Beds are accepted by furniture pick-up only

We try our best to provide program participants in our New Start Program with the best quality items that we can. Furniture that does not go into our New Start deliveries is sold in our WIN Home Shop at affordable prices to our customers. We rely on the revenue from our stores to be able to run our five empowerment programs for women, trans, non-binary, and Two-Spirit people. For this reason have high quality standards for the furniture that we accept. The cost to repair, recycle, or dispose of unusable furniture is not affordable for us.

Please also be aware that we may not be able to accept some pieces due to our limited warehouse and store space and we can only accept upholstered furniture from pet-free and smoke-free homes. To get a better idea if your item will be accepted, please email photos of your donations to win@womeninneed.ca, and you can also refer to our donation guidelines for more info!
